Meet Ann

I’m Ann Hooper, a CPA and consultant with more than 15 years of experience in corporate accounting, internal controls, and process improvement. I’ve spent my career looking beneath the surface of a business to understand what’s really happening.

My work with financial data, internal processes, systems, and operational decisions taught me how to identify gaps, ask better questions, connect the dots, and recognize where unnecessary friction is making work harder than it needs to be.

When I started my own business in 2020, I experienced what it was like to be the person responsible for every decision and eventually learned that a business can look successful on paper while being exhausting to run.

You can have valuable skills, viable offers, revenue, and plenty of ideas and still find yourself working within a business that doesn’t fit your energy, capacity, or the life you want.

I help you see where these mismatches in your business are so you can re-design your business to still work even when your capacity isn't 100%.

Through the Quiet Growth Method™, I help experienced women entrepreneurs examine the whole business—their offers, pricing, systems, capacity, and financial reality—so they can identify what isn’t working and design changes that fit the way they need to operate.

We explore questions such as:

  • Which offers are worth the time and energy they require?

  • Does your pricing support the way you want to work?

  • Where is the business creating unnecessary friction?

  • Are your systems making things easier or adding more work?

  • What can your current capacity and financial reality realistically support?

Because sustainable growth isn’t about constantly doing more.

It’s about building a business that is profitable, manageable, and designed around the person running it.

My Background

Before becoming an entrepreneur, I spent more than 15 years in corporate accounting, internal controls, and process improvement, including eight years examining systems and operations within large healthcare and retail organizations.

That experience trained me to look beyond what appears obvious. I learned how to examine a business from multiple angles, recognize where things aren’t working as intended, and separate the visible symptoms from the underlying problem.

I still use those skills every day—just in a different setting.

Now, I help entrepreneurs step outside the day-to-day noise, understand what’s creating friction, and develop practical ways to address it. Financial information is an important part of that picture, but it isn’t the whole picture.

What It’s Like to Work With Me

My approach is direct, practical, and thoughtful.

You won’t get complicated jargon, generic advice, or a blueprint you’re expected to force your business into. You’ll get careful thinking, honest perspective, practical tools, and guidance based on your business, your goals, and the way you actually need to work.

I won’t take over your business or make your decisions for you. I’ll help you understand what’s happening, choose a better-fit path, and support you as you put your decisions into practice.

I believe good business strategy should create more clarity and less friction.

Because the best business isn’t simply one that makes money.

It’s one that works for you.

Beyond the Business

I live near Lake Michigan in Wisconsin with my dog, Izzy, who keeps me on a very consistent walking schedule.

I’m a mom of two grown sons, a proud grandma, a mystery novel enthusiast, and someone who believes business success should support your life and not consume it.
